About
What this site is, who writes it, and why it exists.
Last updated
DStillPoint is a personal publication about focused work.
It exists because most writing about productivity is really writing about speed, and speed is rarely the interesting part. What is interesting is attention: where it goes, what erodes it, and what it takes to protect enough of it to do work you are willing to sign.
What you'll find here
Three kinds of writing, roughly:
- Essays — longer pieces that try to work an idea all the way through.
- Field notes — short observations from workshops, walks and long train journeys.
- Engineering — notes on software and systems, written for people who have to maintain what they build.
Nothing here is sponsored. There are no affiliate links, no tracking pixels in the newsletter, and no popups that ask for your email before you have read a paragraph.
The publishing schedule
There isn't one. Pieces go out when they are finished. If you would rather not check back, subscribe and you will get one email when something new appears.
